Czocha Castle

Situated in the hamlet of Sucha, this castle was built in the years 1241-47 as a border stronghold for the lands between Silesia and Lusatia. The castle has a rich history and many associated legends, the most interesting perhaps being that concerning the ‘well of unfaithful wives’. It was called upon as a backdrop for the classic film Gdzie jest generał as well as the more recent television series Spellbinder and Tajemnica Twierdzy szyfrów. Open daily, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Admission: PLN 8-12. Distance: 20 km.
