Doctor Adam’s Spring (in Polish: Źródło dr. Adama) is named for a resort physician who worked in the hospital at the turn of the 20th century, when Świeradów-Zdrój was known as Bad Flinsberg (in German). Pulsing with a clear water, the spring can today be reached along the bluemarked trail. Doctor Waldemar Adam was a private physician of the von Schaffgotsch family of counts. He introduced natural treatment methods, for which reason he was called a Quarkdoktor, or ‘curd cheese doctor’.
