The artificial grotto is hidden in the base of the terrace over 160 m long upon which stands Świeradów-Zdrój Traditional Remedy Centre (in Polish: Dom Zdrojowy). The grotto was constructed in the 19th century and in the past served as a spa house. Next to the grotto is a board commemorating Dr Mieczysław Orłowicz, a pioneer of Polish tourism in the Sudety Mts. His name was given to the 440 km red-marked Main Tourist Trail (in Polish: Główny Szlak Sudecki) beginning in Świeradów-Zdrój.
