A+ A-
Lubomierz is a town famous for its Benedictine convent complex (from 1278) as well as the baroque St. Matthew Church with frescoes painted by notable Silesian artist G.W. Neuhertz. The town hall (1738) and Renaissance House of the Linen Makers (in Polish: Dom Płócienników) are worth seeing. Every summer Lubomierz hosts a Comedy Festival, commemorating the fact that Lubomierz provided the backdrop to a classic series of Polish comedies, the main characters of which, Kargul and Pawlak, even have their own museum. Distance: 20 km.
